Louise Ivey

Mrs. Louise Ivey passed away on Monday, January 09,2017 in the McLeod Medical Center in Florence, South Carolina after an illness. 

You may visit the family at 821 Jean Lee Drive in Dillon, SC in the Newtown Community.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Ivey will be Saturday January 14, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Manning Baptist Church in Dillon, SC.

Obituary

"God saw you getting tired when a cure was not to be,

So he wrapped His arms around you and whispered, "come to me!"

On Monday, January 9, 2017, God saw that Louise Ivey was tired so he released her from this earthly life and welcomed her to immortality.

Louise the daughter of the late Fletcher and Carrie Scott was born in Dillon County on August 31, 1942.

When Louise was young she attended Zion A.M.E. Church in Bingham, South Carolina. In later years she was in attendance at Manning Baptist Church in Dillon, South Carolina.

Louise attended the Dillon County Public Schools and for years Louise worked on farms and was employed as a domestic worker.

Other than her parents Louise was preceded in death by family members Arula Buchanan, Nathaniel Scott, as well as Wade and Mary Lue Dixon.

Left to cherish Louise's memories: her husband Levern Ivey; two sons: James Robert Scott and Levon Ivey both of Florence, South Carolina. Nine grandchildren: Dominique James Scott, Torvais Scott, Tevin Scott, Shamya Scott, Leah Scott, Jamik Scott, Jamarah Scott, Meshia Scott and Stephanie Scott, Three brothers: Fletcher (Betty) Scott of New York, James (Dorothy) Scott Lennow (Debbie) Scott, and one sister, Helen (Henry) Crosland all of Dillon, South Carolina. Also remaining to fondly reflect on Louise's memory is a sister-in-law Patricia Scott of New York, as well as a  host of family and friends.
