Mrs. Queen E. Dentley was born in Marion, South Carolina on January 21, 1944, to the late Wesley Mason and Ila Leggette. She was the youngest of nine siblings born to this union with eight siblings preceding her in death.

Queen received her early education in the Marion School System while graduating from Marion High School. She accomplished many achievements in her lifetime, which included receiving her Bachelor's Degree in Theology and Biblical Studies from Pee Dee College and Bible Seminary.

Queen was married to the love of her life for over fifty years, Benjamin Dentley, Sr. and to this union two sons and a daughter were born. Queen loved to crochet, sew and occasionally shop for that special hat that she loved to wear with her outfits. Queen was an excellent cook and loved spending time with friends and family.
