Mrs. Queen E. Dentley was born in Marion, South Carolina on January 21, 1944, to the late Wesley Mason and Ila Leggette. She was the youngest of nine siblings born to this union with eight siblings preceding her in death.
Queen loved the Lord and received Christ at a young age. Throughout her lifetime, she was an active member of the church and served in different auxiliaries and capacities within the church organization. Queen was a dedicated follower of Christ until her Lord called her home on July 4, 2019.
Queen received her early education in the Marion School System while graduating from Marion High School. She accomplished many achievements in her lifetime, which included receiving her Bachelor's Degree in Theology and Biblical Studies from Pee Dee College and Bible Seminary.
Queen was married to the love of her life for over fifty years, Benjamin Dentley, Sr. and to this union two sons and a daughter were born. Queen loved to crochet, sew and occasionally shop for that special hat that she loved to wear with her outfits. Queen was an excellent cook and loved spending time with friends and family.
Queen is survived by her husband Reverend Benjamin Dentley, Jr.; her three children: Michael D. Dentley (Camille), Anthony M. Dentley, and Gwendolyn M. Dentley; five grandchildren: Martin B. Dentley, Marcus V. Dentley, Cailin B. Dentley, Kezia T. Dentley, and Cameron M. Dentley. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Mrs. Queen Dentley entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at her home. Funeral services for Mrs. Dentley were conducted on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. from the St. Phillips United Methodist Church, 146 Bowling Green Road in Marion, South Carolina. Interment followed in the St. Phillips United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will received friends at 705 Freddie Loop Road in the Riverdale Community of Dillon, South Carolina.
