Mrs. Rosetta Bethea, wife of Sylvester Bethea, entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 28, 2010 in the Carolinas Hospital System in Florence, South Carolina. Rosetta was the daughter of the late Sadie Smith and Western Singletary. She was educated in the public schools of Dillon County. Left to cherish fond memories are her loving husband Sylvester Bethea of the home; five daughters: Stephanie (Kevin) Brown of High Point, NC, Latonya (John) Green, Lisa Bethea, Subrina Bethea and Erika (James) Owens all of Dillon, SC and one step daughter Deborah Wilson; two brothers: Johnny Singletary and Leroy Miles who preceded her in death; two sisters Sadie Singletary and Daphne Singletary both of Dillon, SC; four sisters-in-law Mary Ann (Bill) Buie, Brenda (William) Harmon, Geraldine (Leo) Stephens, and Almatine Bethea of Dillon, SC; two brothers-in-law Joe Lewis Bethea of Farimont, NC, and Brother (Mary) Bethea of Dillon, SC. A very special aunt Mary Bell Thomas of Lumberton, NC; a special niece and nephew Lacourtney Singletary and Damione Singletary; a very special relative Daisy Mae Douglas of Newark, NJ; twenty-two grandchildren and one great-grand child. A host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Rosetta Bethea were conducted Friday, June 4, 2010 at 1:00 PM from the Victory Tabernacle Holiness Church on US 301 South in Dillon. Bishop William Swindler delivered the words of comfort. Final resting place for Mrs. Bethea is in the Roadside Memorial Garden Cemetery in the Riverdale Community in Dillon, SC. The family will receive friends at 3533 Lane Court in the Hamer Community.
