Obituary

Mr. Ronald (Jack) Cabbagestalk entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 12, 2011 in the McLeod Medical Center Dillon. Ronald was born on November 19, 1954 in Dillon South Carolina, son of the late John C. and Maggie Davis Cabbagestalk. Ronald departed this life on Saturday, Novmeber 12, 2011 in the McLeod Medical Center Dillon after a short illness. Ronald attended the public schools of Dillon County. He was employed by Wix Filteration Porducts for 32 years and remained a dedicated employee until his health began to decline. Ronald was united in holy matrimony to Elizabeth A. Flowers and this union was blessed with four beautiful children. Ronald became a member of Victory Tabernacle Fellowship Ministries under the leadership of Bishop W. E. Swindler. Ronald was known for his excellent skills in barbequing and he was a magnificent "pork skin man." In his home he was a provider, a good husband, and a great father. All who knew Ronald Jack loved him. He never met a stranger and he showed love and kindness to those he met. Ronald was prededed in death by his sister Tammy C. Swinlder and a brother Tony Cabbagestalk. Left to cherish fond and loving memories are his wife of thirty-seven years Elizabeth F. Cabbagestalk of the home, five children: Ronald Cabbabgesalk Jr. (Alicia) of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Sharon Burton (Maury) of Fredrick, Maryland, Jermaine Cabbagestalk (Avadawn) of Dillon, South Carolina, Chris Taylor (Latonya) of Whiteville, North Carolina,and Sharese Cabbagestalk-Bethea of Dillon, South Carolina; two sisters Doris Cabbagestak of Dillon, South Carolina, and Cynthia McCall (Edward) of Dillon, South Carolina. Brother Reggie Cabbagestalk of Conneticut. His mother-in-law Mrs. Elizabeth Flowers of Hemingway, South Carolina. Seven brothers-in-law: Clee Flowers (Viola), OBee Flowers (Albertha), Frankie Flowers (Edith), and Alfred Flowers all of Hemingway, South Carolina. Grady Preston (Gloria) of Jersey City, New Jersey and Tyrone Swindler of Dillon, South Carolina. Fifteen grandchildren, a very special and dear friend to the end Helen Cook Roberts, "grand-dog" Beauty and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Ronald will be conducted on Saturday, Novmber 19, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. from the Manning Baptist Church in Dillon, South Carolina. Final resting place for Mr. Cabbagestalk will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Dillon, South Carolina. The family will receive friends at 601 South 11th Avenue in Dillon, S.C.
