Mrs. Nellie Mae Colvin passed away on Sunday June 16, 2013 at McLeod Hospice House in Florence, SC after an illness. Funeral Service will be Saturday June 22, 2013 at Mars Hill Bibleway Holiness Church in Dillon, SC. The service will began at 1:00PM. You may visit the family at 205 Munn Street in Latta, SC.

Nellie Mae Colvin, also known as Essie, daughter of Rose Patterson was born June 2, 1924 in Marlboro County, She was married to Earnest Colvin who preceded her in death,

She is preceded in death by two brothers: Pervis Alford and Leroy Alford of Akron, Ohio.

She was a faithful member of Mars Hill Bible Way Chursh even through times of faiing health. She was previously a member of St. Peter's Holiness Church under the leadership of the Bishop Wallace Snow. She was known for ending testimonies and conversations with, "if I don't see you no mo'-just meet me up yonder!" She loved the Lord, prayer, her family as well as her church family and many that she came in contaact with affectionlately called her "Grandma" a fiesty soul" until the end.

She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories a daughter Mary Ladson of Latta, SC, a granddaughter whom she loved as her own Demetris Colvin of Dillon, SC brother Bobby Patterson of Dillon, SC and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; a special cousin Odessa Alford, special friends Essie Blount, John Hubbard, Johnny Bryant and Diane Page.
