Mr. Curtis Sellers of Dillon died on Thursday, December 24, 2009 in the McLeod Medical Center Dillon after a brief illness. Funeral Services for Mr. Lee Curtis Sellers will be December 30, 2009 at Manning Baptist Church in Dillon, SC. Time of the service is at 11:00am. Burial will follow at the Greater Saint James AME Church Cemetery in Conway, SC. For further information contact Greene's Funeral Home. OBITUARY Mr. Lee Curtis Sellers son of the late Knee and Lonnie Mae Sellers was born on May 03, 1947 and departed this life on Thursday, December 24, 2009 in the McLeod Medical Center- Dillon, SC after a brief illness. Lee attended the Latta schools and was a graduate of Latimer High School. He later moved to New Jersey where he worked for the Newark Board of Education for several years. In 1979, Curtis married the former Ella Mae Stanley of Conway, SC. This marriage was blessed with three children: Melissa Brown(King) of Charleston, SC Curtis Larrell (Tammy)Sellers of Dillon, SC and Kendrick Malik (Saderia) Sellers of Dillon, SC. Curtis accepted Christ at an early age at New Hope Baptist Church, Latta, SC. He also attended Greater Saint James AME Church in Conway, SC: where he served as a junior trustee. To all who loved Curtis, he was known as the owner of Lee's Construction Company in Dillon, SC. Curtis was an active member of the community and a real estate developer. Curt prided himself with having a vision to take the impossible and turning it into the possible. Curt made it possible for many families to have homes in the surrounding communities. Curtis was preceded in death by three brothers: James Sellers, Knee Sellers, and George Sellers. Curt leaves to cherish loving memories his wife Ella Mae Sellers of the home, his children Melissa, Curtis, and Kendrick: two sisters: Eloise(Walter)Lee and Lillie(Willie)spears of Latta, SC; two brothers: Nathaniel(Bessie)Sellers and Lafon Sellers both of Latta, SC; his mother-in-law Mrs. Virginia Stanley of Dillon, SC, SC; two sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-law, six grandchildren: Jasmine, Dorrian, Jason, Trey, Nasir, and Kelaysia, one God-child Telisha, and a host of other relatives and friends.
