Mr. John Henry Brunson was the son of the late Moses Brunson and Annie Johnson. John Henry was born on December 7, 1927 in Sardinia, South Carolina and departed this life on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at McLeod Medical Center in Florence, South Carolina.

John Henry received his education from Dillon County Public Schools.

John Henry worked at Bethlehem Steel Sparrows Point Shipyard in Maryland for 37 years. He was a devoted and hard working employee.

John was a member of Mt. Pleasant Ministries Church in Baltimore, Maryland and Hazy Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Hamer, South Carolina.

He was proceeded in death by his wife of 53 years, Thelma Jane Brunson, son Edward Brunson, sisters:Rosie Brunson McNair and Annie Mae Brunson McNair. John has five remaining children: Sarah Frances (Moses) Daniels of Fayetteville, North Carolina; John Alvin (Anna) Brunson of Baltimore, Maryland, Garrett Lee (Laverne) Brunson of Baltimore, Maryland; Stephen Ivan Brunson of Baltimore, Maryland; and Yvette Shanel (Lloyd) Brunson-Hightower of Murrieta, California. Twelve grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
