James Willie McAllister was born on December 21, 1930 to the late Daniel Webster and Rosa Bell McAllister in Roberson County, North Carolina. He entered into eternal rest on June 21, 2008 at Sunny Acres Nursing Home. He joined Mt. Pleasant AME Church at an early age, where he served faithfully until his health failed. He was the pianist for many churches, a steward, Sunday School teacher, and Superintendent for many years. He married Hattie Mae Dunson and to this union came five children. Four sons, Rev. Engene (Rosa) Dunson, and William Chester of Hamer, SC; James Arthur and Robert Clarence "Bunny" (Gloria) preceded him in death, both of Dillon, SC. Two daughters Queen Ester of Dilon and Barbars (Julian) preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish fond memories his broghers: John Robert (Annie Mae) of Dillon, SC and Daniel Webster of New Jersey, and two sister: Annie Mae (Robert) A. Livingston of Greensboro, NC, and Ida Frances McDougal of Lumberton, NC. Two sisters-in-law, five brothers-in-law, thirteen grandchildren, several great-grand children, and a host of nieces nephews, relatives, and friends.
