Mr. James Mansfield (Jimmy) Richardson peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday. November 25, 2014 at his home in Hartsville, South Carolina. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, November 29, 2014 from Jerusalem Baptist Church (301 South 6th Street) in Hartsville, South Carolina at 1:00 P.M.. Final resting place for Jimmy will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery on Washington Street in Hartsville, South Carolina.

Visitation will take place from 10:00 A.M... until 3:00 P. M. at Greene's Funeral Home; Preston Greene, Jr. Memorial Chapel in Dillon, South Carolina and 5:00 P.  M. until 8:00 P. M. at Jerusalem Baptist Church (301 South 6th Street) in Hartsville, South Carolina.

The family will receive friends at 719 East Chaplin Circle in Hartsville, South Carolina and at 400 South 14th Avenue in Dillon, South Carolina.

Obituary

Again a human spirit has taken flight from this life; from the distraction and weariness of time,  to the peace of eternity. We pause today to pay tribute to the life and to bid farewell to one who has lived among us and enriched the lives of all he touched.

Born on November 9, 1957 to the late Luther and Mary Ella Bracey Richardson, on Tuesday, November 25, 2014  James Mansfield Richardson was called home to be with the Lord.

Jimmy, as he was affectionately called, attended Butler High School and graduated in 1976. After graduating High School, Jimmy attended Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina.

Jimmy was gainfully employed for 30 years, prior to retiring on disability.

To share James' memories he leaves: his wife, Helen Goodson Richardson, of the home; a daughter, Yasmine (Sam) Jones, of Sumter, South Carolina, a son James Mansfield Richardson, II of Dillon, South Carolina, a sister, Sharon Yvonne Richardson of Hartsville, South Carolina; 2 step daughters; Latosha Rachelle Goodson of Florence, South Carolina, and Monica Davis of Hartsville, South Carolina; and one step son. A granddaughter, Olivia Jones and a grandson, Harrison Jones both of Sumter, South Carolina. His mother-in-law Frances Goodson and father-in-law Randolph Goodson of Timmonsvillle, South Carolina. A host of aunts, uncles, cousin, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
