Devona Anastasia Blount, was born February 5, 1972 in Dillon, South Carolina and went on into eternal glory on Thursday, September 25, 2008. She was the daughter of Idella Mae Blount and Roger Lee Lane. She was educated in the Dillon County Public School System. She was a member of St. Matthew ame Church in Hamer, South Carolina. She was a very outgoing and energetic young lady; who never met a stranger. She leaves to cherish her memory her mother Idella Mae Blount and her father Roger Lee Lane; one sister Shannon Arnetha Blount, and one brother Vernie Duran (Jackie)Blount;two nieces: Xiomara Phair and Deshauna Graham, three nephews: Zion Phair, Julius Smith, and Dailon Blount; maternal grandfather Vernie Blount; paternal grandparents Oliver (lessie)Lane.
