Branford A. Smith, a cherished member of the Dillon community, passed away on May 5, 2026, in Dillon, South Carolina. His life was one marked by dedication, accomplishment, and the affection of those who knew him well.

Branford was a proud graduate of Dillon High School, Class of 1980, and he went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree of Art from Winthrop University in 1984. His educational achievements were a testament to his commitment and determination, qualities that he carried throughout his life.

The family will receive friends during the visitation on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Greene's Funeral Home, in the Preston and Dorothy Greene Memorial Chapel, located at 402 E Calhoun St, Dillon, SC 29536. A celebration of Branford's life will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Manning Baptist Church, 308 East Calhoun Street, Dillon, S.C. The service will reflect the impact he had on his family and community. Burial will immediately follow the celebration at Pine Hill A.M.E. Church Cemetery, 2258 Centerville Road, Latta, SC 29565, offering a final resting place for Branford among loved ones.

He is survived by his brothers, Reggie (Pat) and Eric (Sheri) Smith, who along with family and friends, carry forward his memory and the legacy he leaves behind.
