Mrs. Bessie R. Crawford passed away on July 1, 2013 at her home, after an extended illness. Funeral Service will be on Saturday July 6, 2013 at 2:00pm at New Holly United Methodist Church in the Little Rock Community. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.You may visit the family at 4012 Carolina Cemetery road in the Little Rock community.

Bessie R. Crawford , daughter of the late Sallie Moody and Frank Lane was born September 16, 1934 in Scotland County, North Carolina. She attended the public schools of Scotland County, North Carolina.

She was a faithful member of New Holly United Methodist Church until her health failed. She was a member of the Senior Choir, United Methodist Women's Club, the Usher Board, and member and secretary of the Gospel Choir.

She was raised by the late Henry and Catherine Richardson; also preceding her in death are two sons, Henry Lee Richardson, Alvin Crawford; two sisters, Beatrice Rogers, and Bernice Richardson; four brothers, James Richardson, Leroy Richardson, John Moody, and Frank Lane, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her loving fond memories: one daughter, Yvette Richardson of the home; nine sons: Gentry, Joe, and Pearly Crawford of the home; Kenny(Barbara) Crawford of Lincolnton, NC; Anthony and Shawn Crawford of High Point, NC; Tony Williams of Dillon, SC; Marcus(Renee) Alford of Fort Campbell, KY; Rodrick(Mary) Crawford of Sacramento, CA; one brother, Lonnie Moody of Wagram, NC; one sister, Catherine(Norman) Pegues, one special sister Virginia McInnis, one sister-in-law Georgianna Lane; one special brother-in-law George Crawford; 50 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, one special grandson Cedric Harley. Caregivers, James, Desmond, Leroy, Robert, and Cathy Richardson, Terrell and Latonia McCall, Terry Wright, Damion Thomas and Kevin Monroe; special friends Mytle McCrimmon, Ethel and Henrietta McRae, Alice McCall and family; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and close friends.
