Amos Crouch, Jr., affectionately known as "June" was born March 9, 1926 in Winston Salem, North Carolina, to the late Amos Crouch, Sr. and Ida Belle Blackmon. A time to die... After suffering a long illness, God in his infinite wisdom, took Amos home to his eternal rest on June 20, 2009. A time to embrace... Amos was joined in holy matrimony to Esther Lee Johnson. This union was blessed with five children. Linda Joyce(Merritt)Slade, Yorktown, VA; Janice(Roy)Langley, and Gloria(Thomas) Simpson, Philadelphia, PA; Karen McFarland, Mullins, S.C.; Wanda(Randolph)Pee, Rineville, Kentucky. A time to build up... Amos began a life-long career with the Seaboard Costal Railroad, where he retired after thirty-five years of faithful service. A time to mourn... Amos leaves this life with cherished memories of his children; ten grandchildren; one great-grand child; one great grand daughter-in-law; two siblings, Emma Robinson, Winston Salem, NC; Minnie Ruth Finklea, Mullins, S.C.; A host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A time to rejoice... "This is the day that the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it." (Psalm 118:24)
