We regret the passing of Mr. William D. Townsend on 08/29/ 2018 of Hamer, SC. Mr. Townsend was at McLeod Medical Center in Florence when he passed away. You may visit the family at 2431 Harllee Bridge Road in Hamer, SC. Funeral Arrangements will be announced later by Greene's Funeral Home, LLC of Dillon, SC.

Service will be at Greene’s Funeral Home ( Chapel )  

Burial will be at Pine Hill Church Cemetery

viewing will be on Sept  5, 2018 from 3:00pm until 5:00pm at the funeral home  

    Mr. William David Townsend  (Cute) was born on June 1, 1947 to the late Tom Townsend and Rebecca Blue Townsend. He transitioned from this earthly life on August 29, 2018 at the McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, South Carolina.

William attended the Marlboro County Public Schools System He was married to the late Carrie Patricia McGill Townsend.

One son Curtis Townsend who preceded him in death.

During William and Carrie's Union three children were born: David, Imani and Phylishia. "CUTE" is survived by his four children: David K. (Darlene) Townsend of Hamer, South Carolina, Imani K. Salahuddin) Muhammad and Phylishia A. Townsend both of New York and Jason Alford of Clio, South Carolina. " Cute " is also survived by three sisters, one brother thirteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, one sister-in-law Ollie Garrison and a host of nieces nephews, other family and friends.
