Jeanette Gibson Obituary

Ms. Jeanette Gibson was born 03/13/1943 in Newport News, Virginia. She was married to the late Jeff Gibson who preceded her in death, along with her parents. Ms. Gibson went to her eternal home on February 18, 2018. She was affectionately loved by all who came in contact with her. She had a spirit of laughter and joy. She worked various jobs in the church and loved helping in any way she could.

she moved to Florence, SC from Newport, Virginia and later moved to Dillon, when her health began to fail. She attended several churches in Florence, SC and Virginia, and in Dillon, she attended Whosoever will church where Elder Christine Murphy was the pastor.

One of her favorite sayings was “I want something to eat!” She loved ginger snap cookies, Pepsi Cola, chocolate pudding and coconut cake.

she leaves to mourn her passing; 2 sons; Dempsey (Doris) Hyman of Newport News, Va., Daniel (Lasandra) Capehart of Dillon, SC. 2 daughters: Della Reese Fields of Philadelphia, Pa,Crystal (James) Ross of Florence SC, 25 grandchildren, special caregivers: Brenda Robinson of Dillon, SC Kerman Brown of Dillon, SC, and a host of family , friends and loved ones that will miss her greatly.
